National Baptist General Convention of Texas (State)
Dates: Oct 21–23, 2025
Location: Gospel Way Church, Houston, TX.
Who should attend: Pastors, delegates, auxiliary leaders, and members.
Notes: Travel, housing, and delegate information will be shared here as released.
November Extension Board (Association)
Dates: Nov 12–13, 2024
Venue: Encampment Building, #128 County Road 119, Edna, TX 77957.
Focus: Reports, registrations, and action items for the Association.
Bring: Church/district reports; updated contact lists.

Presidents’ Council Workshop (2026)
Date: Saturday, Jan 24, 2026
Venue: Encampment Building
Purpose: Leadership development, planning, and coordination for the year.

Women’s Conference (2026)
Date: Saturday, Feb 28, 2026
Hosted by: Ministers & Deacons Wives & Widows Auxiliary

Youth Convention — Competitions & Celebrations
We spotlight Bible skills, team knowledge, and student leadership. Most recent winners:

Grand O’le East Queen Contest (Annual Session)
When: During the 156th Annual Session (July)
Call for contestants: Email cos@nbegat.org with subject “Queen Contestant.”
5) Fellowship Traditions
Rainbow Night Celebration
The celebration now honors Pastor Jimmie Flakes, Jr. (memorial designation).
Recent highlights:

Monthly Giving (3 Lanes)

Fifth-Sunday Foreign Mission Effort

7) Our Recent Homecoming (Context for the Year)
The 155th Annual Session & Youth Convention convened on our 17.52-acre home campus—a milestone made possible by months of Tuesday workdays and building repairs overseen with care.
